Do you have a group of friends that you long to gather together to reminisce about old times? Sometimes it only takes a weekend away to recharge and your closest friends coming together is just what the doctor ordered. So leave all your to-do lists at home and book a stay at the VERY best inn in Gettysburg, the Keystone Inn. Gettysburg is filled with unique experiences, relaxing activities, and plenty of foodie eateries to enjoy with your friends.  Check out our list below for ideas to make your Bestie Weekend the most memorable getaway yet!

Three girlfriends together

Enjoy a movies night "inn"
Your stay at the Keystone Inn can include gathering your friends in our Carriage House, where you will find comfy seating, a kitchenette, and large flat-screen TV. Our innkeeper will be glad to help organize popcorn with your favorite movie.

Shopping Spree in Downtown Gettysburg
Our downtown Gettysburg is just a short walk from the inn. Here you will find many unique boutiques and gift shops. Find that perfect holiday gift for your loved one or a new outfit for your presentation on Monday.

Apple Picking in the Country
Have you ever picked an apple straight from the tree? It's even more fun with a group of friends- one on the ladder and a couple of friends on the bottom catching and gathering the bounty.

Go for a morning hike and catch the sunrise
There's nothing more fun than gathering your friends for a nice long morning walk. Afterward, come back to the inn for that first cup of java and a delicious farm-to-table breakfast.

Segway Tour
Remember some history
Gettysburg is all about history, and there are so many unique ways to travel around. We love to recommend a Segway tour or seeing the battlefields by horseback. Check out this previous blog for additional ways to tour the battlefields. Our historical town offers the perfect opportunity to experience the Hallowed Grounds of the battlefield and to be able to walk in the same footsteps of Lincoln.

Enjoy the Adams County Pour Tour
Relax in one of the many local pubs or wineries with your special friends. The Adams County Pour Tour is a local craft beverage trail and offers a fun way to find your new favorite drink of choice from the award-winning ciders, wine, beer, spirits, and mead. As your travel throughout the county trying new beverages, you can enjoy live music, trivia, and unique events while earning prizes as you go along. Check out the map of participating locations from our friends at Destination Gettysburg.

Gather for some crafts
If your friends share a common craft, gather in our Carriage House to quilt, scrapbook or knit. In addition, we can include some fun music and help organize catering for a pizza night or snack food.

Enjoy some great food together
Gettysburg is filled with many eateries that include healthy farm-to-table fare or unique period dining. Indulge in what locals know is the authentic, fresh taste of Adams County.  Whether you enjoy takeout in your room or check out one of our favorite eateries you and "your besties" will not be disappointed.

Come stay with us
The Keystone Inn includes eight comfortable guest rooms, all with private baths. The historic inn also has many common areas for you to gather with your friends. Our two-sided front porch is filled with comfortable seating and songbirds- making for the perfect spot for afternoon cocktails.
